Before there was a hotel, there was a saloon. In 1852, thousands of thirsty prospectors filled their glasses at the original Golden Gate Saloon. After Grass Valley was destroyed by a fire in 1855, the owners quickly adapted and sold whiskey and beer to loyal customers from a tent among the rubble the next day. A seamless flow from the bar to the dining room and outdoor patio offers our guests the perfect mix of food and drink.     Dinner was great and our server, Alex, was amazing! We had the scallops, salmon, burrata salad and our friends had the steak, spaghetti, and was raving about the French onion soup! Will definitely go again!

    Went with 3 girl friends. Sat outside. Our server was great. Very attentive and always making sure we were good. Even when. It was a couple minutes past their closing time, they let us order one more drink. I wish I remembered our server's name but whichever girl worked the night of September 17th outside patio was amazing and the other woman helping her bring things out was also so sweet. Would definitely come back. Cocktails were so good and food was delicious.
