The train arrives at 7 and we always look for a place to eat after her 8-hour journey. This year, she traveled on a Monday, when not many restaurants are open. I searched for an Italian restaurant and stumbled on this jewel of intimate dining. It is located in what used to be Albany’s Little Italy and appears to be one of the few survivors. It’s stayed on for over 40 years, and for good reason. The staff was attentive and welcoming. The appetizer we had-the eggplant - is a long-standing menu items and was far and away the best we’ve ever had, even in Italy or Boston’s North End.
