Lovely evening with friends. Food amazing, staff amazing. Will go back

A warm welcome, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff from the moment we entered the Ivy all working as a team to provide top draw service. Unfortunately, such a rarity these days. The decor and ambience is delightful. It transports you to a different time and place and offers an escape of sorts from the day to day. It is relaxed, unstuffy, and informal but not scruffy by any means and more than suitable for celebrations, anniversaries, and special occasions The restaurant and menu is suitable for families. Likewise for couples or solo diners. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. It also offers great value for money. Lunchtime and theatre style combination options were available. Likewise, vegetarian selections Most importantly, the food was delicious. St Albans was the best Ivy I have visited in some time, and the others were pretty good, too.. The combination of service of food excellence is a credit to the St Albans staff and teamwork. Recommended.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday as it features ingredients and menus from sustainable sources. Both meals were delicious and they bought out a birthday ice cream with candle for my partner! Some options like the two courses for a set price were not served with vegetables so you had to pay for them in addition. There was also an option to have one course and a free drink but we’d already ordered our drinks and the glass of wine was a 175ml and the offer only included a 125ml. Rather annoyingly, this had not been explained by waiting staff at the time of ordering and that size was not an option on the drinks list. Having said that we loved to food and the calm stylish setting. The staff were friendly but did not pester or hover. Would definitely go again now we know how the offers work!!

The whole customer service from arrival to departure was excellent - especially Iuri, he was fabulous. The food selection was fantastic and tasted delicious. Plus the setting is so special by the Thames

Amazing experience, they stayed open for us because we were running late, the service was still excellent and the food was spectacular. 10/10 recommend! Ishmael was also so very helpful as our server!
