We were so happy to find this restaurant. The service, the food and the entire experience was wonderful. We started out with the gnocchi delicious, shrimp and grits outstanding, glazed short ribs with the cornbread-tender and flavorful!! We would recommend this to anyone and hope to come back again!

1790 has been one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah for a long time, and last night was proof why it will stay that way. It was easy to make reservations, and the staff accommodated my requests to make it special for my date and me for our “friend-iversary.” Christian our server was superb and helped me with making a video on my phone of my “proposal” to my friend dedicating myself to deepen our friendship, as well as the gift of “a diamond” a personal joke between us, that was really an oversized ring with a huge giant “diamond”. It had the perfect affect. 1790 is a great date night place because of the ambience created by the space, the history, the music, the staff, the quality of food, and service.

We had a fantastic meal. I had noted when I booked in Open Table one of us has a dairy allergy. Our server, Emma, had already discovered and listed all the options before we had got there, so that when we were seated, she was ready to help us make the best choice. Everything we ate was delicious, the mood was great and Emma was cheerful and attentive.

We loved everything about our brunch. We sat indoors since it was 90 degrees and humid out and still enjoyed a nice ambiance. The food was wonderful. Our brunch included the charcuterie platter, short rib and mashed potatoes, caramelized onion and goat cheese omelet, and a dessert platter, along with our bottomless mimosas of course. Everything was spectacular, including Shae, who took great care of us and made sure the mimosa glasses stayed full.
