I always have a good experience at the Gage. I've dined there for small-business meals, team dinners, and used their private spaces several times. The staff was attentive each time. It is always great to have the owner walking around greeting diners.

The Dearborn is my go-to meal before I leave for the airport after every Chicago visit. I save it for my last meal because it’s supremely reliable that I’ll get a great food and will leave the city on a positive note from the lovely service and lively atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with the Midwest is Best Salad. I always add chicken and it’s a hearty and superbly tasty meal that I only eat half of in order to save room for desert! The sticky toffee pudding that’s been on the menu for my last two visits is total comfort flavors in a warm/cold combo with ice cream. I haven’t had anything less than a delicious mouthful here - and I’ve sampled many of their dishes over the years. Monet has been our server the last two visits and is a dream - friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and happy to make recommendations! On no less than 3 occasions we’ve even been checked in on by a manager, all spent the time to chat for a moment - such a personal touch! This most recent visit we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and she was presented with the cutest desert and card (a card, who does that?). I will be sad the day my daughter graduates and I can’t frequent Chicago and the Dearborn as often.

Fantastic dinner at The Ives! The staff was incredible—attentive, great with recommendations, and always anticipating what we needed. The menu was small but well-curated, with just enough variety. Food came out fast, making it perfect for a pre-theatre meal. Ambiance and decor were amazing. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible experience. The ambiance and decor was elegant yet lively, the service was top of class, and the food blew our minds. We went with the chef’s choice set, kimchi fried rice, and sundubu stew and everything was perfection.
