A little slice of Tokyo hiding in plain sight. This is the kind of place that doesn't need to shout. I'd never tried this style of Japanese food before, and it completely won me over. The duck was beautifully cooked, the wagyu tataki absolutely melted in your mouth, and every dish felt thoughtful without being overcomplicated. Then came the udon. The noodles had that perfect chewy bite, but the real star was the broth. Rich, comforting and packed with flavour, it's the sort of broth you could happily drink by the cupful. One of those rare places that feels both authentic and welcoming. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

the $13 deal is so worth it! The food is really good and still large sizes for the mains. The team were so friendly even though it was chaotically busy and they were clearly understaffed. But many apologies were thrown around for the waits, even though the wait was no more than 20mins for the next course. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Wood fired steaks were awesome. Great service all around.

Perfect lunch - we ordered the two lunch specials - Rockling Burger and Chicken Schnitzel with 2 pots of their own brew (Mol Lager).
