Lovely restaurant not too loud, lively atmosphere but easy to have a conversation without raising your voice. Food was amazing, we had the venison, cooked to perfection and delicious. Portion size was just right for me but my husband could have eaten more. Just like the rest of the hotel, the staff are friendly, polite and professional, nothing is too much trouble. We will book again when back in the area.

First visit to Hawksmoor Edinburgh, and I was really impressed. The building itself is stunning, and the food was delicious from start to finish. We had the set menu, which was excellent value for money. The potted beef with Yorkshire pudding starter was a particular highlight—absolutely delicious. A special mention to Owen, our waiter, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of being helpful without being overbearing. A fantastic experience all round.

I met my nephew who lives in Edinburgh and I came over from Kirkcaldy to take him for lunch. It was our first time visiting the Ivy and were not disappointed . Oscar my nephew is Vegan and I vegetarian so there was a varied menu and something to suit everyone I'd say. The food we chose was lovely and the service attentive without being intrusive. I always find it difficult to get a good non alcoholic wine but I was pleased to see Wild Idol on the menu which was well chilled, bubbly and celebratory. There was a nice atmosphere about the place for a Monday although I was told it was a public holiday. We were seated upstairs and looked onto the square, nice to see people coming and going. Will I return? Definitely

Beautiful setting for a relaxing afternoon tea. Food was delicious, not heavy like other afternoon teas I’ve had before but light and full of flavour. The service was outstanding. Erin was friendly and knowledgeable and made our lunch extra special.
