Had dinner here before an event at Town Hall. We really enjoyed the food (pork chop for me and ahi for my friend, both perfectly done) and the service was attentive, knowledgeable and warm. Gluten sensitivity was readily accommodated, and I also really appreciated the breadth of the nonalcoholic drinks menu. We ate in the outdoor space, which was perfectly fine--less noisy than I expected despite being right next to Madison St--but it's still near a busy street and pleasant but not as lovely as the hotel, so I wouldn't make a trip here just for the patio experience. I'll definitely be back for the food and service, though.

Great food. Amazing ambience and the staff here really seemed to be invested in making sure we were having a good night. The patio is amazing on summer nights and inside is super cozy for the winter. Definitely a repeat.

Lovely outdoor setting with delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere with professionals wisteria staff. The seafood and past are outstanding and the accessibility was greatly appreciated! The Nonno margarita, as well!

I’ve been staying at the Sorrento for over 25 years and when the restaurant was called The Hunt club and it was excellent. Stella is no less excellent! From breakfast to lunch to dinner all of my meals have been amazing.William was my server today at lunch and he was attentive personable. I had the Cobb salad and clam chowder soup…all terrific. Last night, I had dinner with 2 quests and we are commented on how great everything tasted how well it was presented and the overall value… great bartender as well. A+ A+ A+.

Our party of six included four former residents from the Mount Baker neighborhood for a ‘reunion.’ It was a wonderful summer evening on Stella’s outdoor patio. Our server (Xan H on our receipt which didn’t seem right) was gracious and accommodating. A larger party can be a challenge because everyone is busy talking. Our server managed to create a calm demeanor. Our food was excellent: smash burger, insalata di gamberi, peach cobbler, creme brulee. Great drinks: aperol spritz, hugo spritz, gin & tonic. A perfect summer evening.

We sat on the patio with charming magnolia trees and jasmine. The wine list is predominantly French and Italian and the server gave us sips of a few wines we were not familiar with. It took 1/2 hour to get our first glass of wine. While the restaurant was mostly full, the delay in service appeared to be due to lack of attentiveness than head count. Our server spent a fair amount of time chatting with other staff and surveying his tables rather than actually attending to them. He had to be flagged multiple times for additional items. Oysters arrived before our wine so no wine with our appetizer. We wanted a second glass of wine with our entree, but the server didn't check in when glasses were low, so by the time we got 2nd glass, our meal was almost finished. The seafood risotto was very good and the lobster pasta was also good. The sauce on the pasta was delicious, but the pasta served with the lobster was odd. The noodles were large flat lasagna noodles (sfoglia) which overpowered the delicate lobster and seemed an odd selection. The Bonet dessert was good but a bit watery/soggy. Not sure if this is typical, but I wouldn't order again. The female general manager and older male (Maître d'?) stood at front of restaurant but didn't interact with customers or help staff. It gave off a weird vibe like staff was being surveilled. And it was also was annoying, as a customer, to be experiening slow service abnd see management not noticing or inyervening. The same two saw us wait for our car, at the valet station, for 10 minutes without asking if we needed help. After flagging management, they told us we had to go into the hotel to connect with valet. How would a customer know they had to go somewhere other than where they dropped off their car? How about a small sign sign at the valet stand that indicates this? The food and ambiance were lovely, but the experience was shadowed by the terrible, detached service. It was a frustrating, annoying experience.

A lovely lunch on the patio, which is beautiful. Dishes I have loved here at Stella seem even better than before. And additions to the menu include: mussels and fennel; burrata salad with fresh peaches and arugula; Cobb salad; and some new pastas. Very friendly and attentive service. A neighborhood gem for sure, and beyond that, worth a trip.
